GREEK ORGANIC KOUMARIA HONEY 450g

The Arbutus unedo has buds, flowers and ripe fruits at the same time. The color of the honey is dark yellow and has a bitter taste. It has the lowest percentage of glucose and therefore fewer calories. Its fructose is kept at a low level, so it is suitable for those on a diet. It contains arbutin, which regulates cholesterol by purifying the blood, as well as tyranose, which prolongs the life of cells .

It all started in 2007, when a swarm of bees chose the tree in our yard as their permanent home. Since then, a lot has changed on our small family farm. The dominant position is occupied by our organic apiary, which is jointly managed by two brothers: Christoforos, a professional farmer, and Dimitris, a music composer.

Certified organic beekeeping

We produce certified beekeeping products by independent authorities, respecting the bee and the environment, away from industrial or other pollutants, in areas with native wild vegetation. The organic practices followed are certified through the controls of the certification company, based on the regulations of Organic Agriculture, ensuring the purity of the collection of organic honey.
