For over 30 years, the Demeter spelt for Naturata spelt pasta has come from a Demeter producer association, which consists of around 25 farmers from the Schwäbischen Alb in Baden-Württemberg. Early agreements on quantities, fair prices and reliable purchase commitments guarantee the farmers an economic basis for their business. The required grain quantities are agreed upon before sowing so that the crop rotation can be adjusted accordingly. The soil and weather conditions in the region are ideal for the traditional spelt varieties, which give Naturata pasta its refined, nutty taste. The processing plant where the pasta is produced is just a few kilometres away. Short transport routes as well as production according to strict biodynamic criteria help to protect natural resources.
