Lecithin as a dietary supplement:
Soy lecithin is a substance rich in essential polyunsaturated fatty acids (essential for the body), linoleic and linolenic acids. These substances have the ability to selectively attach to cholesterol that accumulates in the blood and especially in the diseased part, thus facilitating the removal of cholesterol and maintaining the flexibility of the vessels.
Also, soy lecithin is particularly indicated for the prevention of atherosclerotic plaque formation which is the cause of atherosclerosis . Rich in choline and inositol, lecithin plays an important role in hepatic metabolism by favoring "good" cholesterol (HDL) at the expense of "bad" cholesterol (LDL) . Lecithin is also beneficial for patients suffering from gallstones .
Finally, lecithin, thanks to its high content of phospholipids, is beneficial to the brain, especially in occasional memory problems.
How to use & dosage:
The granule form makes it extremely practical: simply add 1–2 teaspoons (7–10g) to yogurt, cereal, salads or smoothies. It is easily incorporated into your diet without changing the taste of foods.
