CAMU CAMU POWDER (Myrciaria dubia) ORGANIC 50g.

Although the botanical name is Myrciaria dubia, most people know this miraculous little fruit as Camu Camu, or possibly cacari depending on what region you are in. The tree is found in South America, in Peru and Brazil, and its fruits are small reddish berries.
Some of their most widespread uses concern their abilities to stimulate the immune system , reduce inflammation in the body, detoxify , prevent viral infections, improve mood , etc.
Description
The powder from these purple-red berries has more vitamin C than any other known fruit. They also contain amino acids and significant levels of beta-carotene, calcium, iron, niacin, phosphorus, riboflavin, and thiamine.
Camu camu has impressive antioxidant capabilities, as in addition to vitamin C it contains many other powerful compounds such as flavonoid antioxidants, including anthocyanins and ellagic acid. Camu camu's high antioxidant content may particularly benefit cigarette smokers, as smoking creates excessive amounts of free radicals, leading to oxidative stress.
