LONG GRAIN BROWN RICE (PADDLED) ORGANIC 500g.
Long-grain rice is the "unprocessed" version of the classic white rice that we all know. Its nutritional value is superior to white rice, as its husk contains all the vitamins and trace elements necessary for proper nutrition of the body. Its husk makes it more digestible and light on the stomach. It is also rich in selenium, magnesium & fiber.
Recipe for rice with mushrooms
Materials
- 2 cups brown rice
- 4 cups hot water or ⦁ vegetable broth
- 2 cups white mushrooms, sliced
- 2 spring onions, finely chopped
- 1 clove of garlic, crushed
- ½ cup olive oil
- nutmeg
- Messolonghi salt
- pepper
Recipe
1. Soak the rice for 1 hour. In a saucepan, sauté the garlic, mushrooms and onions in the oil until wilted.
2. Drain the rice and add it to the pot. Add the water and all the other ingredients. Once the food boils, lower the temperature by half and simmer until it is reduced to a little water.
3. Remove the pot from the heat and cover with a clean towel and the pot lid.
4. Once the rice has absorbed all the liquid, serve it.
