Frankincense (Boswellia sacra), Olibanum, Frankincense

It is the "tear" from the cut of the Boswellia sacra tree. The collection of these knots (or tears) is done in the same way that we get mastic in Chios.

Historically, frankincense has been used to relieve asthma, gastroenteritis, skin conditions, and more.
There are modern findings about its anticancer activity.

Natural frankincense is burned either as it was from ancient times until today or in the form of incense (along with aromatic substances).
