Chrysanthemum flowers (Tanacetum parthenium), Feverfew
Other names: Tanaceto, Tanakito, Vaskantira, Parthenouli
Basic Properties: Antiparasitic, vasodilator, bitter digestive, relaxing, emmenagogue, anti-inflammatory.
Use: Chrysanthemum is considered an excellent herb for treating migraines, reducing their severity, duration, and frequency. It is not as effective in a sudden migraine attack.
It also helps with Arthritis, relieves Vertigo and Tinnitus, and relieves painful and sluggish menstrual flow.
How is it used:
Use the leaves or flowers of the chrysanthemum as an infusion: Pour a cup of boiling water over 1 teaspoon of dried tansy and leave for 10-15 minutes. This drink should be drunk twice a day.
Tincture: 1-2 ml of chrysanthemum tincture three times a day.
Special precautions:
Chrysanthemum is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
It should not be used by children under 2 years of age.
