APRICOT KERNELS
The new EFET instructions state that apricot kernels are not intended for human consumption.
The diet of primitive man also included the pits or seeds of fruits, due to their content in proteins, polyunsaturated fats and other nutrients. Today, our diet has changed, we no longer look for our “medicine” in nature. Thus, we have banished from our diet, along with other bitter foods, the nutritious pits (kernels) of the apricot.
The ingredient that gives apricot kernels & bitter almonds their power is B17 or amygdalin or letrin . The bitter B17, which is not found in processed foods, is considered the anti-cancer vitamin par excellence. It is believed that chronic deficiency in amygdalin (B17) leads to a decrease in the body's resistance to the development of malignancy.
Amygdalin was extracted from the seeds about a hundred years ago and has been listed in pharmacological dictionaries ever since, as it is non-toxic. Although it contains cyanide, because it is in its natural form it is chemically inert. Thus, amygdalin is less toxic to some than salt or sugar.
People who still maintain traditional eating habits have much lower rates of cancer. This alone is something that is impressive. These diets, among other things, are usually rich in foods that contain amygdalin. Bitter almonds, like apricot kernels, are certainly not to be thrown away. They were a staple in the diet of many peoples, such as some Indian tribes, in which not a single case of cancer had ever been recorded. The apricot kernel in fact has the highest levels of vitamin B17 of all other fruits.
According to a multitude of studies, amygdalin directly attacks cancer cells. Normally, the immune system can deal with the cancer cells that the body produces itself. However, sometimes stress, an illness or exposure to carcinogens causes the cancer cells to become too large for our immune system to deal with. Cancer cells have an enzyme inside them that “unlocks” the “poison” of amygdalin and in this way they are destroyed. Our healthy cells do not contain this enzyme. In fact, they have a different enzyme that “unlocks” amygdalin in a different way and nutrients are released. Amygdalin when extracted from the core, in its pure form is known as laetrin. Latrine is used as a basic treatment in combination with other non-toxic treatments and proper nutrition in the treatment of cancer in some clinics.
Amygdalin (vitamin 17) is found in hundreds of foods, but those in which we find it in large quantities have disappeared from our Western, modern diet. Those foods that contain it in its natural form are simply thrown away by modern man who prefers sweet, pleasant and often harmful foods.
In addition to apricot kernels, other foods contain amygdalin - in smaller quantities - such as bitter almonds (amygdalin is bitter, sweet almonds do not contain it), apple kernels, grape seeds, millet, broad beans and many other seeds, beans and kernels.
