RED MACA - RED MACA (Lepidium meyenii) tincture 50ml - the feminine inner energy

Red Maca Lepidium Meyenii is cultivated in the Peruvian Andes and is a natural superfood historically known for its nutritional and medicinal properties. It offers the body an impressive range of valuable bioactive substances, vitamins and minerals that enhance health, energy and hormonal balance.

Red Maca represents the internal (feminine) energy of the body

Red Maca is rarer (20-25%) than yellow Maca and is considered sacred and is used for acute treatment of essential imbalances or for relief of more chronic conditions. Red Maca root represents the inner energy of our body, that energy that nourishes, stabilizes and calms (it is the feminine side of Maca). Therefore, red Maca benefits conditions such as anxiety, adrenal fatigue, osteoporosis (bone density), blood flow, blood oxygen, inflammation and autoimmunity, prostate function in men, hormonal balance and female fertility. Red Maca root nourishes our entire inner being and our feminine energy, it is like a warm and loving hug from your mom. Studies have shown that red maca root contains higher levels of bioactives than yellow maca and black maca. Red maca is ideal for use by men and women for more chronic or acute conditions and imbalances.

Nutritional value

Maca is a versatile herbal supplement that can be used for both nutritional and medicinal applications. Maca root contains 10.5% protein, 8.5% fiber, 19 essential amino acids, and vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, C, and D. It is a wonderful source of iron, magnesium, copper, zinc, sodium, potassium, calcium, and free fatty acids, making it an excellent supplement for boosting endurance and improving energy.

The effect of Maca on the central nervous system

Many of the amino acids and fatty acids found in red Maca are believed to function in the central nervous system, providing analgesic, anti-inflammatory, or other protective effects by regulating the release of neurotransmitters. Neurotransmitters are responsible for mood, which provides an explanation for why Maca helps support mood and libido. Proteins, vitamins, and minerals provide energy and endurance by transporting nutrients and oxygen to various parts of the body. The vitamins, minerals, proteins, amino acids, and fatty acids found in Maca work together to convert food into energy.

The effect of Maca on the Endocrine system

Red Maca has been shown to have a balancing effect on the human endocrine system, through improved hormonal balance. This is why so much research has been done to evaluate Red Maca's role in balancing the prostate, as well as treating natural ailments of the body such as menopause and premenstrual syndrome.

It is not recommended for use during pregnancy, breastfeeding or if there are underlying diseases or by children under 18 years of age. Because it alters hormone levels, it should be avoided by people with thyroid diseases (given that maca belongs to the cruciferous vegetable family, which contains substances known as bronchogenics, which may affect the normal function of the thyroid gland, especially in people with thyroid diseases), hormone-sensitive diseases, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, cancer (breast-uterine-ovarian). Other side effects reported in overdose and long-term use without interruption are mood disorders, sleep disorders, cramps, gastritis, and menstrual cycle alterations.
