Basic Properties: antimicrobial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, anti-inflammatory, sedative, diuretic, antilithic, anthelmintic, expectorant and diaphoretic.
Uses: for the removal of kidney and gallstones, against cystitis and nephritis, for the removal of mucus and respiratory relief, for the improvement of gastrointestinal function. It is believed to be beneficial for the spleen and chest diseases.
How is it used:
as a decoction: boil 1 tablespoon in 1.5 cups of water for 3-5 minutes. Drink 1 to 2 times a day. Due to its bitter taste, it is combined with Fennel Seed, Mint, Anise or Licorice.
Especially for kidney stones, you can try the following herbal mixture:
Add equal parts of Ceterach officinarum , Zea Mays and/ or Agropyron repens.
The mixture is used as a decoction: Simmer 1.5-2 teaspoons in 1 cup of water for 7-10 minutes. Drink slowly 2 cups a day for a week to 10 days.
