ROOTED CANE RHIZOME

Other Names: Calamus the aromatic

Basic Properties: Aphrodisiac, soothing for muscle spasms, diaphoretic, stimulant, tonic

Uses: for bloating, gas, colic, relieves intestinal spasms, for headaches from poor digestion, for acute and chronic indigestion, gastritis

How is it used:
The root: Soak a teaspoon of the root in 250 ml of cold water overnight. In the morning, heat it slightly and strain it. Before use, heat the tea in a bain-marie. Drink a sip before and after each meal. (Recipe by Maria Treben)
