Uses:
to stimulate the whole body, for the treatment of eczema (especially in children), for Allergic Rhinitis, Osteoarthritis, Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (we prefer Nettle root), for Urinary Tract Infections, for Nosebleeds and Bleeding in general
How is it used:
Nettle leaves as an infusion: add 1 teaspoon of dried leaves to 1 cup of boiled water for 10 minutes. Drink 3-4 times a day.
Nettle root as a decoction: Simmer a teaspoon of dried root in 1 cup of water for 10-15 minutes. Drink 3-4 times a day.
Tincture: 1-4 ml of nettle tincture three times a day.
Special precautions:
Nettle may cause mild gastrointestinal upset in some people.
Fresh nettle causes skin irritation. The same can happen with prolonged contact with dried nettle leaves.
