Basic Properties: bitter tonic, digestive stimulant, neurotonic, emmenagogue, expectorant, antispasmodic, anticancer, antimicrobial, antifungal
Uses: recommended when appetite is lost (anorexia), helps regulate menstrual flow, for diabetes, obesity, stimulates the body in fevers or infections, for heartburn, irritable bowel syndrome, for Candida fungus. In some studies, it has shown anti-cancer activity, especially in breast cancer. Traditionally used for the treatment of intestinal parasites, worms (such as malaria)
How is it used:
as an infusion: half to a teaspoon in 1 cup of water for about 10 minutes. Drink 2-3 times a day
For its bitterness, it is better not to use sugar, but herbs such as Mint and Sweet Clove.
Special precautions:
Avoid during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Use of the herb in larger doses or for more than 4 weeks may cause insomnia, dizziness, convulsions, insomnia, and restlessness.
