Tropical evergreen tree that reaches up to 12 m. It comes from a similar province in Indonesia.
Cloves are the buds (dried) from the tree when they are still closed. They are not related to the flowers we know.
Basic Properties: intensely aromatic, analgesic, warming, digestive, antiseptic Therapeutic use: mainly used for dental pain (mainly the oil 1-2 drops on the tooth), it freshens the breath by chewing it, its drink fights intestinal parasites, helps with dizziness and vomiting, relieves menstrual pain.
Culinary use: It gives a strong flavor with a pungent and pleasant aroma. Among our very common spices, cloves flavor red meats and sauces, it is widely used in confectionery, syrupy sweets and in flavoring liqueurs.
How is it used:
As a decoction: 1/2 teaspoon in 1 cup of water for about 5 minutes. Drink when needed.
