GREEK ORGANIC THYME HONEY 450gr.

Thyme (Thymus vulgaris) contains essential oil (the main component of which is thymol) at a rate of over 25%. Its antiseptic action is also passed on to the honey, which is considered top in Greece, extremely aromatic and with great nutritional value. It is a honey that is slow to crystallize - sometimes even more than a year - with an intense flavor, although it often gives the sensation of "burning" in the throat due to the high concentration of fructose. Its color is amber or blond, while it is quite thick, retaining small amounts of moisture.
Recent clinical research supports that thyme honey exhibits strong activity against various microorganisms.

It all started in 2007, when a swarm of bees chose the tree in our yard as their permanent home. Since then, a lot has changed on our small family farm. The dominant position is occupied by our organic apiary, which is jointly managed by two brothers: Christoforos, a professional farmer, and Dimitris, a music composer.

Certified organic beekeeping

We produce certified beekeeping products by independent authorities, respecting the bee and the environment, away from industrial or other pollutants, in areas with native wild vegetation. The organic practices followed are certified through the controls of the certification company, based on the regulations of Organic Agriculture, ensuring the purity of the collection of organic honey.
