Rhodiola roots are considered adaptogens, meaning they help your body adapt to stress when consumed. They contain more than 140 active ingredients, the two most powerful of which are rosavin and salidroside. People in Russia and the Scandinavian countries have used rhodiola to treat anxiety, fatigue, and depression for centuries. The plant has been known since ancient Greece.
Basic Properties: increases physical endurance, stimulates or calms the nervous system (depending on the quantity), antioxidant, anticancer, balances the hormonal system.
Rhodiola is used for:
- increase in physical endurance
- chronic physical and mental fatigue
- help reduce symptoms of depression
- stimulating the nervous system and mental performance
- improving the function of the thyroid , thymus gland , adrenal glands,
- heart and liver protection.

- May have anticancer properties
How is it used:
Take 1 gram of powdered Rhodiola root once or twice a day. If the root is not grated, make a decoction of it for 10-15 minutes.
Rhodiola is usually taken before meals.
Special precautions:
Rhodiola has been used in traditional herbal medicine for many centuries. No side effects or interactions have been reported from the use of Rhodiola.
