MAPLE SYRUP BIO 250ml
Organic farming product from Canada (Vermont maple syrup).
The Maple syrup is made from the sap of maple trees. In the cold climate of Canada where they grow, the trees store starch in their roots and trunks before winter. In early spring and for only a few weeks as it gradually darkens and turns bitter, they make holes in the tree trunks and collect the sap in buckets.
Maple syrup, after being harvested, is heated to remove the water it contains in its natural form. Its special characteristics are its content of manganese and zinc , which support our immune system, among other things. Maple syrup is a healthy sweetener , rich in nutritional elements, which accompanies muesli, drinks, puddings, desserts, yogurt, etc. Its difference from honey is that when heated, it does not lose its valuable nutrients.
This delicious sweetener is an antioxidant and contains riboflavin , which is essential for energy production. It also contains plenty of zinc and calcium.
How to use/proportion with sugar:
Both its texture and taste go very well with our ice cream or yogurt . Use this super healthy sweetener in muesli, various drinks, cakes and puddings. In cooking, we use it in a one-to-one ratio with sugar but we make sure to reduce the liquid ingredients of the recipe accordingly.
