BEE POWER – COCOA ELIXIR
Honey, cocoa, and the heart of the beehive in one jar. Five ingredients. Nothing more.
Greek fir and heather honey, raw cocoa, bee pollen, propolis, and royal jelly — combined into a smooth, pourable elixir with a deep, rounded flavour reminiscent of milk chocolate, with the character of Greek honey underneath. How to enjoy itA spoonful on its own in the morning, spread over a slice of bread or toast, or stirred into yoghurt. Children particularly enjoy it — the cocoa gently masks the intensity of pollen and propolis, which on their own can be hard to accept. It's a clever way to bring the products of the beehive into the daily diet of the whole family.
The ingredients of Bee Power
Greek fir & heather honey — The base of the elixir. Two of the most highly regarded Greek honeys: fir honey, with its dark colour and rich, non-crystallising sweetness, and heather honey, with its dense, distinctive character. In Greek tradition, both are considered mountain honeys — collected by bees in wild, untouched landscapes.
Raw cocoa — Unprocessed by heat or chemicals. It retains its natural flavonoids and the deep, slightly bitter aroma that balances the sweetness of the honey. Cocoa has been cultivated and consumed for over 3,000 years; the Maya and Aztec civilisations regarded it as a food of exceptional value.
Bee pollen — Collected by bees as they visit flowering plants. A natural product with a complex profile of plant proteins, amino acids, B-vitamins, and trace minerals. Traditionally considered one of nature's most complete foods.
Propolis — The resinous substance bees use to seal and protect the hive. Research over recent decades has focused on its flavonoids and phenolic acids.
Royal jelly — The rarest product of the beehive. Produced by worker bees as the exclusive food of the queen and of the youngest larvae.Origin & production
