Natural camphor

Natural camphor (Camphor natura, Cinnamomum camphora), Camphor tree

It belongs to the Lauraceae family and is obtained from the wood of the native Taiwanese plant Cinnamun camphora.

Camphor is a white crystalline substance, obtained from the trunk and woody areas of the tree.

All parts of the plant contain volatile components, which give a strong aroma (of eucalyptus). It is used in Pharmacy and Aromatherapy, stimulating the central nervous system. It has a soothing and tonic effect. It is also used as an insecticide and an ingredient in incense.
