Stellaria (Stellaria media), Chickweed

Stellaria has been used as a food for centuries.

Basic Properties: Healing, skin softening, antirheumatic, contains saponins and vitamins (C and flavonoids)

Uses: Beneficial for external use in eczema, psoriasis and skin problems.
When used internally, it has a reputation for helping to treat rheumatism.


How is it used:
the dried plant as an infusion: 1 teaspoon of dried Stellaria in a cup of water for 5-10 minutes. Drink 3 times a day.
For external use, it can be made into an ointment, a poultice, or used for washing.
