Arpagofyte Tincture 50ml
Harpagophytum (devil's claw, harpago, grapple plant, woodspider)
Other Names: devil's claw, wood spider
A plant native to South Africa, especially the Kalahari Desert, Namibia and Madagascar. The name devil's claw is due to its strange fruit which is covered in claw-shaped bumps.
Key Properties: Anti-inflammatory, Analgesic, Bitter Uses: For the relief of symptoms of arthritic pain, osteoarthritis, back pain, indigestion (without heartburn)
How is it used:
the root as a decoction: simmer 1 teaspoon in 1 cup of water for 10-15 minutes. Drink in 2-3 doses per day.
Alternatively, for osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, you can use 4.5-10 g of powdered root (powder) per day.
Tincture: 1-2 ml of yarrow tincture up to three times a day.
(1 ml of tincture = approximately 30 drops)
Special precautions:
As a bitter herb, it is advisable not to take it by people with stomach ulcers, heartburn, gastritis. People with gallstones should consult a doctor.
