Passionflower is a climbing plant known for its very beautiful clock-like flowers.
Properties: Sedative, hypnotic, antispasmodic, analgesic
Use: for restlessness, Anxiety, Insomnia especially due to mental restlessness or overwork, as an anticonvulsant in Parkinson's disease, in hysteria or crisis, for neuralgia
How is it used:
the plant as an infusion: half to a teaspoon in a cup of boiled water for 15 minutes. Drink 2-3 times a day.
Tincture: 1-4 ml of tincture once or twice a day.
Special precautions:
Passionflower is considered safe to use at the above dosages. It has not been proven safe to use passionflower at
during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
