Whooping cough (Tussilago farfara), Coltsfoot
Other Names: Bichani, Chamolefki, Glukomana, Tusilago

Basic Properties: emollient, expectorant, antitussive, anti-catarrhal, diuretic

Uses: special treatment for spasmodic cough , for chronic or acute bronchitis , whooping cough, relieves asthmatic breathing

How is it used:
the leaves or flowers as an infusion: 1 teaspoon in 1 cup of water for about 10 minutes. Drink 2-3 times a day

Special precautions:
It is best avoided during pregnancy or breastfeeding. It is considered unsuitable for children under 6 years of age.
Cowslip contains small amounts of alkaloids (pyrrolizidine) that are considered hepatotoxic. Use with caution and in the minimum effective doses.
