Basic Properties:

Therapeutic use:
for Mouth Inflammation, Tonsillitis, Laryngitis, Peritonsillar abscess, Sore throat, for Gingivitis, for Canker sores, for wound healing. People who experienced intense sweating, especially in the extremities, drinking sage tea reduced sweat by 50%.

Culinary use:
Sage leaves have a strong aroma and should be used in moderation. It is best to use sage alone because
other spices do not combine well with it. Traditionally, it enhances fatty dishes, but also goes well with liver, eel, herring, lamb, game and poultry.

How is it used:
Dried sage leaves as an infusion: 1 teaspoon of dried sage in 1 cup of boiled water for about 10 minutes. Drink 3 times a day.
For mouth and tonsil diseases, gargle with Sage tea, letting it boil first.

Special precautions:
The internal use of sage should be limited to the above dosages and not more than 1-2 weeks of continuous use.
Prolonged internal use of sage has been observed to cause increased heart rate, mental confusion, and convulsions.
Do not consume internally during pregnancy and during fever.
The internal use of sage should be done with particular caution by those suffering from hypertension.
